The paleo diet was the staple diet of early humans who ate naturally available foods like vegetables, fish, meat, seafood, coconut, flaxseeds, healthy oils, eggs, seeds, and more. This diet is sometimes referred to as the stone-age diet or the caveman’s diet. Refined foods were not existent in those days and people on a paleo diet have to abstain from eating these foods. The whole influx of eating these foods centers on the fact that these are the most nutritional foods for the human body and can be digested well. Even grains, legumes, and dairy products are not a part of the paleo diet. It’s not surprising that Paleo Pizza Recipes are becoming extremely popular twists to the regular pizza.

Paleo Pizzza with Cauliflower Crust


The classic cauliflower pizza is a unique way of making the paleo pizza. It’s high on nutrition and people love the taste of the crust. The cauliflower dough is put together by adding eggs, salt, and some almond/tapioca flour. You can add any toppings of your choice, though I like my pizza with some pepperoni, almond cheese (optional), olives, mushrooms and fresh basil leaves. So when your pizza dough is ready, just smear the crust with your favorite toppings and sprinkle some salt and pepper and pop it straight into the pre-heated oven. It will take about 1 minute to give the pizza a nice golden color. Serve it hot.

Tapioca Crust Pizza


This Tapioca pizza is grain-free and does not require any yeast. The crust comprises of tapioca flour and coconut flour (separated). Eggs and olive oil are used to knead the flour into an elastic dough. This paleo pizza comes out well if it is precooked before spreading the toppings. No vegetables are added to the crust, though it would have increased the vitamin content. Add some margarita, toppings like almond cheese and basil leaves and bake it till a nice crisp golden crust is visible.

Gluten-free Autoimmune Pizza


This paleo pizza is a heavenly and a big savior for people who suffer from gluten allergies. The crust is made of yucca, coconut oil, coconut flour, and some dried herbs. Process the ingredients and add the coconut flour at the end. Spread the parchment sheet and roll the pizza dough. In this pizza, both the sides have to be baked. This pizza is vegan and loved by kids and adults who crave for the regular pizzas. Smear the top with a little amount of sauce or it tends to get soggy.

The Meatza Pizza

Our paleo pizza section cannot be complete without the super delicious beef pizza. It’s the ultimate primal pizza that leaves you craving for yet another bite. Add in some eggs, onions, and herbs to the beef to make a nice dough. Roll out then and bake the crust until crisp and brown. Once the crust is done, add the sauces, stir-fried chorizo, herbs, basil leaves, pepper slices, and toss it back into the oven, and bake it for another 10 minutes. Add some mozzarella cheese before baking (optional). The pizza comes out golden brown and just cut into slices and serve hot.
